About Me

Introductions are always hard. Finding the words to describe myself seems close to impossible. But if you’re going to read my articles you deserve to know who I am.

Well… It’s time to get a little selfish! The entire blog is about You You You! This page is going to be all about Me Me Me!

So…Hello! I’m Alexandra. Nice to Meet You!

Me

Me

I’m 19 years old. Don’t be shocked! You saw this one coming! I just recently moved to Vienna for college. I’m going to major in Management with an emphasis in International Business. It has nothing to do with this blog, I’m aware of that, but give me a little credit here!

I’m one of the luckiest people there are! Everything happens the way I want it sooner or later, and that just proves will power and hard work can accomplish anything! I am determined to live forever! I will never die! That sounds a little far fetched, but hey…I’ve managed so far! I haven’t died once!

I believe that every one of us is able of shaping his reality the way he wants. And the power comes from within. The bodies we live in can mold themselves after our souls. If we cooperate with our bodies and give them the care and nourishment they need, they will take the form we desire. And if you stick around, we’ll learn together how to properly take care of our bodies so they will take care of us in return. Many of my articles are based on the belief that we have the power to design ourselves, which is thoroughly explained in the post Nature’s Intricate Design.

Article by article, word by word, you’ll get to know me. But if I have my way, you’ll get to know yourself and all that you can be!

My V.I.P.s

The love of my life lives 550 kilometer away, which means I drive home every few weekends. Ok, I drive home every chance I get! And he comes here every chance he gets, so we do get to spend a considerable amount of time together. Even when we’re apart, for me he’s always present and thoughts of him are hidden within my articles. You’ll find shades of him in Long Road to Trust. He’s also a big part of this blog! He takes care of the site. If you found BodyWit.com on Google thank him! Also, if there’s something you don’t like about this site’s appearance or something isn’t working properly, complain to him!

My mother is a judge turned healer. I still can’t grasp the whole idea, but I’m just going along with her wacky transition. From her I inherited calm, patience and perseverance, attributes that are at the foundation of many of my articles. She’s responsible for the dreamer in me, the part of me who speaks to you in articles like Thoughts of Night. She taught me the importance of being at peace with yourself and in tune with your body.

My father is a business man who relaxes by cooking. He loves to experiment with new recipes and he’s truly a brilliant cook. So that turned me into the unwilling victim of a food expert (Unwilling because there’s only so much food that fits in one’s stomach!). In addition to teasing my taste buds my entire life, my father is the one who shaped me into a passionate and determined person. These qualities have served me well so far, and if you bear with me, I’ll try to awaken them in you!

My Sport History

I was an adorable child. As far as kids go, I had it all! I was cute, I could blink, I recited poems, I behaved. Sometimes I think everything went downhill from that point…

I started rhythmic gymnastics when I was 3 years old, and worked my butt off 3 hours a day, 4 days a week until the age of 11. Since then, I’ve tried all sports available: 2 rounds of ballet, a few months of basket ball, 2 failed attempts at tennis, 3 swimming courses and aerobics.

For the last 5 years I’ve been running regularly, to the point that it has become an addiction! Three days without running and I start getting anxious. For diversity I took up ball room dancing for a couple of years.
Pilates combined with jogging is what really turned my body into what I have always wanted, and for that I’ll always be faithful to these two sports. Because I get bored fast, for the last few years I have alternated running with Tae Bo, going to the gym, Step Aerobic. I even tried out Zumba and Ballet Conditioning!

Can you imagine how my work out routine looks like now? Weight exercises in the morning for the chest and back, running whenever I get the chance (because I love it!) and either Pilates, Zumba, Tae Bo or Ballet. Just for the sake of keeping it interesting!

I’m hooked on sports. Even if I could get every little part of my body just right, I still couldn’t give it up! Not even if garbage men would threaten to kidnap me! You can read that account here: My Worst Run: Garbage Day

My Food History

As far as food is concerned, I’ve seen the Italian cuisine, I loved the Greek one, I have mixed feelings about the French and since I’ve been living in Vienna I got acquainted surprisingly well with Asian cooking. There’s a Chinese restaurant just two blocks away that has the most amazing crispy duck with seven treasures I have ever eaten.

Throughout my life I have tried almost every diet I heard about. Some are on my to-do list! Each diet has taught me something and I learned to listen to my body.

When it comes to making choices regarding what to eat, the infinite options are enough to drive anyone crazy. But I’m slowly figuring out what’s truly good for the organism. I’m getting close to that perfect balance, and I’m going to take you along for the ride.

I’ll write about diets I tried that worked. And about diets that didn’t so you’ll know not to fall for those. I won’t give you bullshit advice about something I haven’t tried, and I’ll always research each topic thoroughly.
