How To Use Hypnosis To Lose Weight

If you believe in hypnosis or not, giving it a try can’t do you any harm. What it’s supposed to do is give you the will power and strength to live a healthier life and to stick to rules that result in weight loss.

You must believe!

You must believe!

Going weekly to a specialist isn’t something I would do, so I tried something else instead. The aim is to make healthy behavior a second nature so the first step is to outline how I would like to act.

  • Feel relaxed, confident and in control
  • Feel and act as if I already had the perfect body
  • Eat small meals several times a day and slowly chew every bite
  • Favor healthy, nutritious foods
  • Eat my share of protein
  • Enjoy physical activities
  • Respect and be proud of my body

To make this happen I tried to really play the part. I really acted as if I were perfect in every way. I did my best to enjoy every bite and every step I took. I also took the time to envision this new me, a me that loves living a healthy and active life.

To really let the feeling sink in, I took time to fully relax. I’d make myself comfortable, close my eyes and take deep breaths.  Then I’d try to picture how I want myself to be. I tried to imagine how my body would feel lighter. This is actually quite fun. Just lift your leg for a moment and try to assess how much effort it took to do that. Then try to relax and picture yourself thinner and lighter. Now tell yourself that lifting your leg will be much easier. I must believe it! If you don’t believe yourself then who can you trust? Lift your leg again and feel how much lighter it is. If you actually feet the difference then you know what self-hypnosis is all about!
