How to Improve Your State of Mind
Step 4: Changing Your Mindset

You're almost there! Don't stop now!
No, this is not the impossible step! But it’s time to let go of those problems and focus on what’s good in your life. Changing the way you think sounds close to impossible, I know, but take it one thought at a time and it’s totally achievable.
You found your problems and you also figured out the solutions. No good can come from holding on to those bad feelings anymore. Remember the solutions and hold on to them tightly. Now you have to implement them, and work towards a happier you. In order to move away from that awful state of mind, you have to be able to let go of your problems. Focusing on them won’t do you any good at this point. Time to start enjoying life!
For example, I stopped thinking about how long my boyfriend and I are apart. The ratio of 2 weeks alone, 3 days together really depressed me. So now I focus on the time we spend together, I look forwards to it and I try to find new ways to be close to him. Until I let go of the problem I wasn’t even able to enjoy our time together. By the time I actually got to see him I was already worrying about having to leave for Vienna again.
Master the art of letting go and you’ll surely be a happy camper: “What bee attack last year? Don’t you think I’m gonna spend my vacation at home just because of that little incident!” Taking charge of your feelings is a long process, but every time a bad feeling arises focus on something that makes it all worthwhile!
Now that you got over those problems, you’re ready to get on with your life!

Hi, bodywit.com – da best. Keep it going!
Thanks
Nadine
Well thank you! I intend to keep it up.
Some things in life change, some are ment to be soulbound, slowly burning an endless flame in one’s heart. Try as you might to put out the flame, with 5 steps, 10 steps, a million steps – the result will be the same. Live the present by viewing your future, and learning from your past, things many people forget to do, and end up living in the future witouth having a present, only a burned-down vision of the past.
Very nicely said, but you shouldn’t just give up and be sad forever. Happiness is your choice. It is sometimes very hard, but you have to learn to accept what ever happened, and live with it without being affected by it. Changing how you feel is one of the most hardest things. But living your entire life with a cloud over your head is even harder!
great insight. are you sure you are only 19?
Yup. That’s what my mom tells me…
